QatarEnergy increases net profit by 58% in 2022

Qatar’s state-owned petroleum company, QatarEnergy, increased its net profit by 58% to $42.5 billion in 2022 compared to the previous year, according to the company’s financial data released on Tuesday.

Qatar became one of the top liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporting countries in 2022, with 80.1 million tons.

With the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war in February last year, European countries started seeking alternative supplies, resulting in a 40% rise in natural gas prices globally.
