A total of 425,430 teachers and school workers in Turkey have been included in the COVID-19 vaccination campaign so far, according to the country’s national education minister.
“The vaccination of teachers and school staff in priority group is ongoing,” Ziya Selcuk said on Twitter.
He said teachers, psychological counselors, school administrators, and staff in primary and pre-school institutions can get an appointment through the mobile application e-Nabiz (e-Pulse) to receive their jabs.
Since its vaccination campaign began on Jan. 14, Turkey has administered over 19.23 million vaccine jabs nationwide, according to official figures.
More than 11.53 million people have received their first doses of vaccines while second doses were given to over 7.7 million.
