MOSCOW

Russia on Thursday slammed as “outrageous” a video circulating on the internet that allegedly shows Ukrainian troops shooting Russian war prisoners.

The Foreign Ministry in a statement said blood of the three Russian soldiers is at the hands of the Western “supervisors” of Kyiv.

“We have repeatedly drawn the attention of the international community and relevant organizations to Kyiv’s war crimes, and said that the Ukrainian authorities did not comply with international humanitarian law,” the ministry stressed.

It called “a shameful fact” the “silence” of international organization, saying they “traded their professionalism and objectivity for the desire to curry favor with the US and other Western countries.”

“The Investigative Committee of Russia is investigating the new video evidence of Kyiv’s war crimes. We are sure that they will not go unpunished,” the ministry said.

The video, in which three men in Russian military uniforms are being shot by people wearing Ukrainian military dress, is doing the rounds on social media.

The men lie on the ground unarmed with their hands up when the Ukrainians shoot them in the head, chanting “Glory to Ukraine!”
