Oleksandr Usyk to defend titles against Daniel Dubois next month in Poland

ISTANBUL

Oleksandr Usyk will defend his world heavyweight title against Briton Daniel Dubois in Poland.

The clash will take place at the 24,000-capacity Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw on August 26.

After a thrilling rematch in Saudi Arabia, the 36-year-old Usyk edged out Anthony Joshua to retain his world title in a split-point decision.

The fight will be the undefeated big man’s first title defense since he dethroned Joshua to retain the World Boxing Association (Super), International Boxing Federation, World Boxing Organization – and ” The Ring magazine” belts back in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia last year.

The 25-year-old Dubois won 19 of his 20 bouts, with 18 knockouts, as he only suffered a loss against Joe Joyce.

Usyk of Ukraine is unbeaten in 20 professional matches with 13 knockouts.
