Manchester United suffered a 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest in Week 15 of the English Premier League on Saturday, marking another disappointing result in their challenging season.
Nikola Milenkovic opened the scoring for Nottingham Forest in the second minute but Rasmus Hojlund leveled the game for the Reds at the Old Trafford.
Nottingham Forest regained the lead when Morgan Gibbs-White made a long-range finish in the 47th minute and Chris Wood scored the header to make it 3-1 in the 54th minute.
Manchester United narrowed the gap to one after Bruno Fernandes produced a goal on the penalty arc in the 61st minute.
The Red Devils are 13th with 19 points and Nottingham Forest are fifth with 25 points.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are in the lowest position they have been after 15 Premier League games played since 1986/87.
Manchester City draw with Crystal Palace
Earlier on Saturday, Crystal Palace were held to a 2-2 draw against 10-man Manchester City at Selhurst Park.
Daniel Munoz opened the scoring for Palace in the fourth minute, giving the home side an early lead. City’s talisman Erling Haaland quickly responded in the 30th minute to level the match.
In the second half, Maxence Lacroix restored Palace’s advantage with a goal in the 56th minute, only for City’s Rico Lewis to equalize again in the 68th minute.
Manchester City’s Rico Lewis received a red card, leaving his team to finish the match with 10 men.
Manchester City are fourth with 27 points and Crystal Palace are 16th with 13 points.
Meanwhile, the Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool has been called off because of Storm Darragh’s dangerous winds and heavy rain.
