Manchester United goalkeepers Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton are not expected to play in the team’s FA Cup game against Leicester City this Friday, head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed.
“Altay, I think, he has a problem. So he is not available for the game. Tom is also not for this game but he can play the other ones (in the future). So the rest are ready. The important thing is we are ready to face the game,” Ruben told Manchester United TV on Thursday.
The Red Devils will play Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Foxes in the FA Cup fourth round at Old Trafford at 2000GMT on Friday.
Bayindir, 26, played a crucial role in Man U’s advancement by saving two penalties in their match against Arsenal in the third round.
The Turkish goalie has appeared in six games for Manchester United, showcasing his ability to perform under pressure.
