Public and private real estate giants from Libya will visit Istanbul next month to meet with Turkish investors and exporters at Urbanexpo Forum.
According to a press release by the event’s organizer ADD International Group, the forum will be held on Oct. 3-4 with the participation of Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi, Libya’s housing and reconstruction minister, and Mohammed Al-Raed, chairman of the General Union of Libyan Chambers of Commerce.
The forum will feature speeches from sector representatives, including Nazmi Durbakayim, chairman of the Istanbul Contractors Association, and Faruk Akbal head of the Real Estate International Promotion Association.
The Libyan business people set to visit Türkiye represent more than $30 billion in capital, according to the press release.
Ghaleb Gheblawi, the CEO of ADD, said the event offers important opportunities in terms of exporting the know-how of the Turkish housing sector.
“The realization of cooperation between the two countries, the continuation of business agreements without interruption, is also extremely important for Libya to regain its sustainable development policy,” he added.
