Lazio sealed a narrow win over a 10-man Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg on Wednesday.
Neither team was able to produce a goal in the first half, but Lazio was awarded a penalty after Gustav Isaksen was brought down by Dayot Upamecano in the box in the 67th minute.
French defender Upamecano was sent off with a straight red card and Bayern Munich were down to 10 men at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico.
After two minutes, Ciro Immobile converted the penalty kick successfully, and the last-16 game ended in favor of the Italian club.
In another Wednesday match, Paris Saint-Germain claimed a 2-0 win against Real Sociedad. Second-half goals came from Kylian Mbappe in the 58th minute and Bradley Barcola in the 70th minute at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
The second leg of each tie will be played on March 5.
