The 2023-24 season of La Liga, Spain’s top football league, kicks off on Friday with revolutionary broadcasting technologies for a more immersive and dynamic viewing experience.

The most followed of the five major European football leagues on social media with more than 200 million followers, La Liga aims to offer the best possible experience to football fans around the world with digital and broadcast innovations.

The league presents content in 20 languages and has profiles on 16 social media platforms, including X, formerly known as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

Spain’s top league also has a mobile app, including a fantasy league in which users build their own virtual squads from real players with virtual cash. The chosen players give users points every week, depending on their weekly performance.

An overhaul of the graphics package in line with La Liga’s brand transformation will give matches a new look.

La Liga has overhauled the graphics they use that affect the on-air visuals, title cards and the scoreboard.

With new optics, artificial intelligence enhanced performance metrics for broadcasts and augmented reality statistical graphics, the league hopes to make viewers feel like they are in a video game.
