ANKARA
Spain on Monday announced their provisional squad for the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship.
Goalkeepers Kepa Arrizabalaga and Robert Sanchez along with Aston Villa’s Pau Torres and Tottenham Hotspur’s Pedro Porro are not among the players selected by Spain manager Luis de la Fuente.
Among the players left out of the squad also included two young Barcelona stars – midfielder Gavi, who has suffered from a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, and defender Alejandro Balde, who has undergone a surgical procedure on the injury to the tendon in his right hamstring.
Real Betis’ 30-year-old uncapped attacker Ayoze Perez may earn his first cap as he is included in the squad.
