Juventus draw at Hellas Verona in 4-goal match to continue poor run in Italian league

ANKARA

Second-place Juventus drew 2 – 2 at Hellas Verona on Saturday to continue their poor run in the Italian Serie A.

After French midfielder Adrien Rabiot leveled for the guests, Juventus and Hellas Verona shared points, which meant Bianconeri’s title hopes are fading with every passing week.

Michael Folorunsho, a Hellas Verona midfielder, fired a powerful volley to give his team the lead in the 11th minute.

Juventus were then awarded a penalty kick for a handball. Dusan Vlahovic scored to equalize.

In the 52nd minute, Tijjani Noslin put Hellas Verona ahead.

But Juventus replied quickly as Rabiot ended the scoring via a left-footed low shot on the goal.

In the last four games, Juventus were unable to win.

Juventus first drew with Empoli 1 – 1, then were beaten by leaders Inter Milan 1 – 0, and lost to Udinese 1 – 0 before the 2 – 2 draw at Hellas Verona.

On Friday, Inter cemented their lead with a 4 – 0 win against Salernitana, who are in the league’s relegation zone.

Inter have 63 points in 24 matches and they have a game in hand.

Juventus are nine points behind Inter.

The Bianconeri should first win their matches and rely on Inter to make mistakes.
