Juventus beat hosts Inter Milan in Derby d’Italia

ANKARA

Juventus beat Inter Milan 1-0 in Sunday’s Derby d’Italia held at Milan’s Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.

Filip Kostic scored the winning goal for Juventus in the first half of the Italian Serie A match, sending a firm low shot to beat Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Home team Inter’s Danilo D’Ambrosio and Juventus’ Leandro Paredes were shown red cards for an altercation after the final whistle.

Inter dropped to third spot in the league. They have 50 points in 27 matches.

Juventus have 41 points after the victory and the Turin club are in seventh spot.

Lazio, a club from Rome, overtook Inter in the standings after a 1-0 derby win over Roma on Sunday and boosted their points to 52.

Leaders Napoli have collected 71 points to continue their title march. The Serie A campaign will end in 11 weeks.
