BRUSSELS
Sameer Al-Doumy, the winner of the Young Photographer Award at the 10th anniversary of the İstanbul Photo Awards, said the contest has provided him with extra motivation to document what is happening in the world.
Al-Doumy described the competition to Anadolu as “well-organized” and “perfect.”
He said he was impressed by how much interest the exhibition attracted, and he will complete preparations and apply for the awards in 2025.
The young award winner documented the earthquakes that hit Türkiye in February 2023.

The İstanbul Photo Awards is an international news photography contest organized by Anadolu.
