İstanbul Energy Forum unites industry leaders to discuss future of energy

The İstanbul Energy Forum, organized by Anadolu under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, focuses on the theme ‘Common Future, Common Goals’, and brings together global energy leaders to address shared challenges, kicks off on Friday.

The day-long forum at the İstanbul Congress Center brings together energy ministers from various countries, representatives of local and international NGOs, global organizations, academics, media professionals, and leading figures from the business world.

Themed ‘Common Future, Common Goals,’ the forum will explore regional energy objectives, Türkiye’s pivotal role in ensuring natural gas supply security, strategies for financing the energy transition, oil and gas markets, and technological advancements.

– Energy ministers to address special session

The forum begins with a session hosted by the Turkish Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) on ‘New Dynamics of Gas Security: Regional Perspectives.’

It will continue with sessions titled ‘Prospects for New Technologies and Fuels in a Smart Energy Transition.’

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and Anadolu’s President and CEO Serdar Karagoz will deliver speeches at a special session which will offer participants the opportunity for dialogue at a global level.

A high-level panel discussion, moderated by Bayraktar, will bring together to discuss future energy policies Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, Bulgaria’s Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, Moldova’s Energy Minister Victor Parlicov, Libya’s Oil and Gas Minister Khalifa Rajab Abdulsadek, Serbia’s Energy, Mines Minister Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic, and Uzbekistan’s Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamahmudov, discussing ‘Challenges and Opportunities for a Resilient Future.’

The Forum will proceed with ‘Financing the Energy Transition: Expectations and Priorities,’ and conclude with an ‘Acknowledgment and Review’ session held by Anadolu.
