RAMALLAH, Palestine
The Israeli army on Friday handed over the bodies of three Palestinians who were killed in March.
In a statement, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) said it received the bodies of Jihad Mohammad Shami, 24; Udai Othman Shami, 22, and Mohammad Ra’ed Dabek, 18, in the city of Nablus, northern West Bank.
Efforts are ongoing to retrieve all the bodies of Palestinians held by the “occupying forces,” it added.
Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee had said the Palestinians were killed in an “armed conflict” in Nablus.
Nablus-based Lions’ Den had confirmed the victims were affiliated with the armed group.
Israel accuses the group, which emerged last year in the occupied West Bank, of carrying out deadly attacks on Israeli targets.
