Israeli airstrikes targeted southern Lebanese towns Tuesday, as ceasefire talks between Lebanon and Israel continued in Washington, the National News Agency NNA reported.
Strikes hit Ain Baal, Tayr Debba and the outskirts of the Litani River in the Qasimiya area, as well as Siddiqine and Deir Kifa in the Tyre district.
A separate strike targeted the town of Braachit, with no injuries reported, according to the agency.
The strikes come as Lebanon and Israel are engaged in direct ceasefire negotiations in Washington under US mediation, marking the first such talks between the two sides in decades.
The Israeli army has expanded its air and ground offensive across Lebanon since a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2, despite a ceasefire deal that took effect in November 2024.
Lebanese health authorities said at least 2,124 people have since been killed and 6,921 injured in the Israeli assault.
