Israel continues violent raids on Gaza for 37th consecutive day, killing doctors, civilians

GAZA CITY, Palestine

The Israeli military continued its violent raids on the Gaza Strip for the 37th consecutive day on Sunday, killing doctors and many civilians and injuring scores of people.

While there have been reports of fierce clashes in the north of Beit Hanoun, the Abraj al-Awda area, and Beit Lahia, north of Gaza City.

“Warplanes bombed a house for the Al-Nakhalah family in the center of Gaza City, while there were casualties and wounded in the targeting of the Al-Sahaba area in the Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City,” the Al-Aqsa Channel reported.

The planes also bombed a house for the Al-Bursh family in Jabalia Al-Balad, causing casualties, it added.

“A child was killed and four others were injured in the bombing of a house for the Abu Shab family in the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis,” the media outlet further reported.

Together with artillery shelling, Israeli gunboats fired dozens of shells toward the shores of the Gaza Strip’s central region, and lighting bombs were detonated east of the city of Rafah.

Earlier on Saturday evening, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), which provides housing for displaced people in Gaza City’s Al-Nasr neighborhood, was bombed by Israeli forces, resulting in the deaths of two Palestinians and the injuries of several others.

Israeli warplanes also bombed the Mahdi Maternity Hospital in the Al-Nasr neighborhood, resulting in the deaths of two doctors as well as numerous injuries to displaced people.

The official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that nine people were killed and several others were wounded, in an Israeli forces raid on the home of the Al-Askari family in the Tal Al-Zaatar area in the northern Gaza Strip.

Press sources from Al-Shifa Medical Complex said approximately 80 bodies were lying on the ground in Al-Shifa Square.

Israel has launched relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip — including hospitals, residences, and houses of worship — since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Oct. 7.

At least 11,100 Palestinians have been killed, including 8,000 children and women.

The Israeli death toll is nearly 1,200, according to official figures.
