Italian defender Matteo Darmian on Saturday renewed his contract with Inter Milan until June 30, 2025.
Inter Milan heaped praises on Darmian in a statement, saying: “If the word ‘Darmian’ existed in the dictionary, this is what it’d mean: ‘to adapt to every match situation and immediately become a hugely reliable presence, guaranteeing extraordinary performances.
“His continuous growth has made him one of the pillars of the team, and he’ll continue to be a key figure in the coming years.”
Darmian led the Nerazzurri to win the 2021 Italian Serie A title and the Supercoppa Italiana and Coppa Italia twice.
In an interview with the club website, the 34-year-old said “I’m honored to have signed a deal,” and “really proud to represent Inter.” He added that he was happy to have the trust of the coaching staff, teammates and fans.
