ISTANBUL
The Indonesian economy expanded by 4.87% in the first quarter of 2025, the lowest rate since the third quarter of 2021.
According to official figures from Statistics Indonesia, the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) reached around $344 billion in the first quarter of this year.
The statement read that agriculture, forestry, and fishing showed the highest growth at 10.52% on the production side.
Exports of goods and services posted the highest growth at 6.78% on the expenditure side.
On a quarterly basis, the country’s economy showed a contraction in the first quarter of 2025, with 0.98%, it added.
