Hull City part ways with manager Walter after 18 games in charge

Hull City parted ways Wednesday with head coach Tim Walter after he was in charge for 18 games with the championship club.

“Hull City can confirm that we have parted company with head coach Tim Walter with immediate effect,” the club said in a statement. Assistant head coaches Julian Hubner and Filip Tapalovic have also left the club.

The team added that first-team coach Andy Dawson would take interim charge while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a permanent successor.

Hull City are in the 22nd spot in the Championship relegation zone after collecting 15 points this season.

Acun Ilicali, the founder of the Turkish-based Acun Medya Group media company, completed the purchase of Hull City in January 2022.
