Los Angeles FC confirmed Saturday the signing of Hugo Lloris’ contract until 2024 with options for 2025 and 2026.
“Hugo is arguably the most successful goalkeeper of his generation and a proven winner. We are incredibly excited that Hugo has chosen LAFC for the next phase of his illustrious career,” the team’s Co-President and General Manager John Thorrington said in a statement.
Lloris, who joined Tottenham in 2012, appeared in 447 matches and has 151 clean sheets across all competitions.
He helped France to advance to two consecutive World Cup finals, winning the FIFA 2018 World Cup and a second-place finish at the 2022 World Cup.
The 37-year-old also holds the record for most appearances by a goalkeeper in World Cup history with 20 matches in four tournaments.
