Bayern Munich’s prolific forward Harry Kane scored the winner Friday at Cologne to send his team to the top of the German Bundesliga standings.

The visitors got the 1-0 at RheinEnergieSTADION as the English star, who played for Tottenham Hotspur for years before his move to Germany in August, scored on an easy chance in the 20th minute.

England captain Kane is having a fantastic season at Bayern Munich as the 30-year-old scored his 18th Bundesliga goal late Friday.

Bayern Munich are leading the league with 32 points in 12 matches.

Second-place Bayer Leverkusen are in a dream season with 31 points. Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen have a match in hand.

Leverkusen will regain the Bundesliga’s top position if they beat Werder Bremen in an away match Saturday.
