Hamas’ military wing says its fighters killed 4 more Israeli soldiers in northern Gaza

ISTANBUL

The Hamas group’s armed wing Al-Qassam Brigades on Friday said its fighters killed four more Israeli soldiers in overnight fighting in northern Gaza.

In a brief statement, Al-Qassam Brigades said its fighters ambushed an Israeli force in the Al-Amrikiyah area northwest of Beit Lahia town and killed four soldiers from “point-blank range.”

In previous statements, Al-Qassam Brigades said its fighters targeted several Israeli tanks and vehicles with its locally produced “Yassin 105″ rocket-propelled grenades.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli army said that four of its soldiers were killed in the ongoing fighting in Gaza, bringing the death toll since the start of the military ground operation in Gaza on Tuesday to 23.

The Israeli army has widened its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, which has been under relentless airstrikes since the surprise offensive by Hamas on Oct. 7.

More than 10,500 people have been killed in the conflict, including at least 9,061 Palestinians and more than 1,538 Israelis.
