Germany’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 6% in June, the highest since May 2021, according to data released on Friday.
The figure came in slightly above market forecast of 5.9%.
The number of jobless people grew by 19,000 to 2.78 million in June, marking the 18th straight hike.
