Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli scored to save leaders Arsenal in a Saturday English Premier League match as the Gunners bagged a 1-0 win at Leicester City.
Arsenal’s nearest opponents in the league table, Manchester City, held on to the title race after a 4-1 win against Bournemouth in an away match where Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden scored.
At King Power Stadium in Leicester, Arsenal’s Martinelli, 21, scored the winning goal sending the ball into the bottom corner in the early minutes of the second half.
Arsenal have 57 points in 24 matches to lead the league.
Second-place Manchester City are chasing the London club with 55 points in 25 games after their win against Bournemouth.
Manchester United are third with 49 points. The Red Devils are looking for a mistake by both clubs.
Arsenal will meet Everton on Wednesday at Emirates Stadium in London.
Manchester City will next play Newcastle United at home March 4.
