ISTANBUL

France’s household confidence posted a slight increase from 90 to 91 in July, though households are still concerned about inflation, according to French statistics agency Insee on Friday.

While the household confidence increased on a monthly basis, the index was still below its long-term average of 100, the data showed.

Insee said that the proportion of households believing price surges to continue over the next 12 months rose from minus 47 in June to minus 45 points in July .

Meanwhile, the opinion of households on their past financial situation increased from minus 24 to minus 22 points month-on-month, and the opinion relating to their current ability to save stayed horizontal.

At the same time, the household concerns over unemployment rose from 25 points last month to 28 points in July.
