Bayern Munich’s French forward Mathys Tel on Saturday became his club’s youngest ever goal scorer in the German Bundesliga.

Tel, who signed from Rennes in July, was 17 years and 136 days old when he scored against Stuttgart in a Saturday Bundesliga match.

It was also his first Bundesliga goal.

The Frenchman beat the record of German midfielder Jamal Musiala, who has been a Bayern Munich player since 2020.

The former youngest league scorer for Bayern Munich was Musiala who was 17 years and 205 days when he put the ball into the net against Schalke on Sept. 18, 2020.

Bayern Munich hammered Schalke 8-0 in that match.

On Saturday, Bayern Munich held a 2-2 draw with Stuttgart at Munich’s Allianz Arena as the visitors’ forward Serhou Guirassy scored from a penalty near the end of the match.

Despite the home draw, Bayern Munich are still leading the league with 12 points in six matches.

Stuttgart have five points to be in the 14th spot in the standings.
