France’s annual consumer inflation rate was revised up to 2.2% for June from the initial estimate of 2.1%, according to a second reading released on Friday.
The figure eased from 2.3% in May, data from the French statistics agency Insee revealed.
A slowdown in the price hikes of energy (4.8% in June versus 5.7% in May), petroleum products (0.7% versus 2.9%), and food (0.8% versus 1.3%) contributed to the slight decline in headline inflation.
On a monthly basis, France’s Consumer Price Index increased by 0.1% in June, following no change in May.
