Formula 1 fever to hit Austria this week

ISTANBUL

F1 fever is set to hit Austria this weekend, with the country hosting the 11th round of the 2024 Formula One World Championship.

The Austrian Grand Prix will be run over 71 laps of the 4.318-kilometer (2.67-mile) Red Bull Ring in Spielberg in the country’s southeast.

Before the race, the sprint on Saturday will define the grid for the Austrian GP at 1000GMT.

Sunday’s Grand Prix will begin at 1300GMT.

Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton won seven Grands Prix, while Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc and McLaren’s Lando Norris have each taken one trip to the podium.
