FIFA on Monday got four bids to host the 2027 Women’s World Cup, including a joint bid from the US and Mexico.
In addition to the US-Mexico proposal, other bids include a joint bid from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany, as well as solo bids from Brazil and South African, said world football’s governing body.
The interested member associations should submit their full bids until May 19, and the FIFA Congress will choose the host(s) via a public vote on May 17, 2024.
The 2023 Women’s World Cup will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to Aug. 20.
The US, Mexico, and Canada are set to co-host the men’s World Cup in summer 2026.
