Fenerbahce, Sevilla to face off in Istanbul to grab Europa League last-8 spot

ISTANBUL

Fenerbahce will host Sevilla in Istanbul in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 on Thursday.

The clash will kick off at 1745GMT at Fenerbahce’s Sukru Saracoglu Sports Complex. Michael Oliver from England has been appointed to referee the match.

The first leg ended with a 2-0 win in favor of the Spanish club at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan. The goals came from Joan Jordan and Erik Lamela.

Sevilla have won the Europa League title for a record six times (2006, 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2020).

Both teams have met once in the past. Fenerbahce eliminated Sevilla on penalties to qualify for the 2008 UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.
