European stocks slightly lower at Tuesday open

ANKARA

European stock exchanges were slightly lower at the opening bell on Tuesday amid investor concerns on recession risks and the energy crisis.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was flat at 413.4 at Tuesday’s opening compared to the previous close.

The UK’s FTSE 100 index decreased 0.33%, or 23.7 points, to 7,263.74.

Germany’s DAX 30 was marginally down by 0.03%, or 4.43 points, to 12,756.35 points.

France’s CAC 40 fell 0.17%, or 10.2 points, to open the day at 6,083.02 points.

Italy’s FTSE MIB declined 0.23%, or 50.19 points, to 2,1430, while Spain’s IBEX 35 was flat at 7,862.49.
