European stocks end Thursday with gains

ISTANBUL

European stock exchanges ended Thursday with gains.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, rose 3.65 points, or 0.79%, to finish at 464.23.

The UK’s FTSE 100 added 31 points, or 0.41%, to end the session at 7,618, while Germany’s DAX rose almost 144 points, or 0.91%, to 15,996.

Spain’s IBEX 35 was the best performer of the day, soaring 147 points, or 1.58%, to 9,502.

France’s CAC 40, meanwhile, added 111 points, or 1.52%, to close at 7,433.

Italy’s FTSE MIB increased almost 267 points, or 0.94%, to end the day at 28,575.
