European stocks closed higher Wednesday except for France.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 1.27 points, or 0.28%, to finish at 459.46.
The UK’s FTSE 100 increased 20 points, or 0.26%, to end the session at 7,885. Germany’s DAX 30, meanwhile, rose 91 points, or 0.6%, to 15,412.
Italy’s FTSE MIB added almost 42 points, or 0.15%, to 27,160 and Spain’s IBEX 35 was up 54 points, or 0.6%, to end the day at 9,227.
France’s CAC 40, on the other hand, fell 12 points, or 0.18%, to close at 7,119.
