European stock markets fall 1% apiece Friday

ISTANBUL

European stock markets ended Friday with losses as exchanges lost around 1% each.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, fell 5.06 points, or 1.09%, to finish at 459.17.

The UK’s FTSE 100 lost 94 points, or 1.24%, to end the session at 7,524. Germany’s DAX also shed 164 points, or 1.03%, to 15,832.

France’s CAC 40 was the worst performer of the day, plummeting 93 points, or 1.26%, to close at 7,340.

Italy’s FTSE MIB, meanwhile, decreased 300 points, or 1.05%, to 28,274.

Spain’s IBEX 35 trimmed 67 points, or 0.71%, to end the day at 9,434.
