European exchanges close with losses

ISTANBUL

Stock exchanges in Europe closed with losses on Wednesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 2.6 points, or 0.5%, to close at 514.59.

The UK’s FTSE 100 was the worst performer of the day, losing 56 points, or 0.68%, to end the day at 8,253.

Germany’s DAX shed 14 points, or 0.08%, to 18,711. France’s CAC 40 fell 42 points, or 0.57%, to 7,444.

Italy’s FTSE MIB 124 points, or 0.37%, to finish the day at 33,655.

Spain’s IBEX 35, meanwhile, declined 18 points, or 0.16%, to wrap the session up at 11,684.
