English Premier League sells TV rights for record $8.46B

ANKARA

The English Premier League on Monday announced that they have sold the TV rights for a record fee of £6.7 billion ($8.46 billion).

Sky Sports and TNT Sports signed a four-year deal with the league, which covers through the 2028-29 season, while BBC Sport has been awarded highlights rights for all 380 Premier League matches each season.

Sky Sports has been awarded live rights packages B, C, D, and E, covering a minimum of 215 live matches per season, while TNT Sports has been awarded live rights package A, covering 52 live matches per season, according to a statement.

The agreements will deliver a total of £6.7 billion in revenue across the four-year period, which is almost a 4% rise in live rights value compared to the previous deal.

“We are delighted to announce new deals with Sky Sports and TNT Sports that will extend our partnership for a further four years and see more Premier League matches than ever before shown live from 2025/26 onwards,” said Richard Masters, the Premier League’s chief executive.
