England unveil EURO 2024 squad; Maguire, Grealish, Maddison missing out

ANKARA

England on Thursday named their 26-man final squad for the UEFA EURO 2024, as Manchester United defender Harry Maguire, Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish and Tottenham Hotspur forward James Maddison were axed.

The high-profile trio, however, were part of the 33-man provisional squad announced in May.

The Three Lions led by manager Gareth Southgate will head to Germany next week. They will play their opener against Serbia in Group C on June 16, and then face Denmark and Slovenia.
