England beat Italy 3-1 to seal a UEFA EURO 2024 spot Tuesday.

Italian forward Gianluca Scamacca gave the visitors a 1-0 lead after 15 minutes at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Three Lions forward Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute to level the match. Gareth Southgate’s men only needed a point to advance to the EURO 2024, but they wanted more.

England came back in the 57th minute after Marcus Rashford’s vicious strike that beat Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. England star Jude Bellingham started the attack to pass Rashford, who was on the left flank.

Kane was on the score sheet again as the Bayern Munich forward finished in the area after tackling Italian defender Giorgio Scalvini.

England won 3-1 to be on top of Group C with 16 points. Italy are now third with 10 points but will face North Macedonia and Ukraine in their next fixtures in November.

Second-place Ukraine have 13 points but will play a critical match against Italy in their final qualifier, which will determine the group runners-up.

The best two teams in 10 groups will qualify for the EURO 2024 in Germany.

Spain, Scotland, France, England, Türkiye, Belgium, Austria and Portugal have sealed their places in next summer’s European championship.

England played in 10 EUROs, most recently in the EURO 2020, which they finished in second place. It was their best performance in the tournament’s history.

The English national team lost the 2020 final to Italy on penalties at Wembley.
