ISTANBUL
Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan reached the Australian Open finals with a 2-0 win over Victoria Azarenka on Thursday.
The 23-year-old Rybakina defeated two-time winner Azarenka with sets of 7-6 and 6-3 at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.
The semifinal clash lasted one hour and 41 minutes.
2022 Wimbledon champion Rybakina will face the winner of Magda Linette vs. Aryna Sabalenka in the final.
The Women’s singles final will begin at 0830 GMT on Saturday.
