Economists expects Turkish economy to grow by 2.6% in 3rd quarter

ISTANBUL

Economists estimate that Türkiye’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate will reach 2.64% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2024, according to an Anadolu survey released Monday.

The Turkish Statistical Institute is set to announce the GDP data for the third quarter on Friday, Nov. 29.

Estimates from nine economists for the third-quarter GDP growth ranged between 2.4% and 3.1%.

The average growth forecast for the entire year of 2024 was 2.98%, with the lowest estimate at 2.7% and the highest at 3.2%.

Meanwhile, the average GDP growth forecast from eight economists for 2025 stood at 3%.

Türkiye’s economy grew by 5.9% in the third quarter of 2023 and by 2.5% in the second quarter of 2024.
