‘Dubai Chambers planning Türkiye outbound mission in 2024’

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates

Dubai Chambers is planning to have an outbound mission next year to Türkiye, which is one of Dubai’s top trading partners, according to the head of the association.

Dubai Chambers opened an office in Istanbul last year, which will definitely help boost bilateral trade, Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah told Anadolu at Expand North Star, a major start-up event in Dubai.

Dubai Chambers is a non-profit public entity that aims to empower businesses, provide value-added services and access to influential networks.

Lootah said firms in Dubai have massive interest in investing in the Turkish market, while an increasing number of delegations from Turkish companies have also been visiting Dubai.

“In all of the major events and exhibitions in Dubai, you will always see Turkish companies,” he said.

On the business potential in Africa, Lootah said the Expand North Start event is hosting 100 start-ups from the continent this year.

“They come here, pitching their ideas, competing with different tech start-ups from all over the world. They are here to scale up,” he said.

Africa has the youngest population on the globe, he added, asserting that the world will see more innovation, especially in tech, coming from the continent.

“That’s why we expanded the number of offices of Dubai Chambers in Africa. We now have seven offices,” he said.

Dubai Chambers opened an office this year in Johannesburg, which will, hopefully, play a vital role in facilitating more bilateral trade and investment, he added.
