ISTANBUL
The Dow Jones ended a four-week winning streak despite US stocks closing with gains Friday.
The blue-chip index was up 22 points, or 0.07%, to end at 33,808. It lost 0.23% for the week.
The S&P 500 rose three points to finish the session at 4,133 but declined 0.1% this week.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq increased 12 points, or 0.11%, to close at 12,072 but it posted a weekly decrease of 0.42%.
The VIX volatility index, also known as the fear index, shed 2.3% to 16.77. Meanwhile, the 10-year US Treasury yield rose 0.65% to 3.568%.
The dollar index lost 0.1% to 101.72, while the euro rose 0.2% to $1.0990 against the greenback.
Precious metals were in negative territory, with gold trimming 1% to $1,983 per ounce and silver falling 0.8% to $25.09.
Oil prices rose around 0.9%, with global benchmark Brent crude at $81.85 per barrel and US benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude sitting at $77.82.
