Doncic posts triple-double as Dallas Mavericks beat Brooklyn Nets 129-125 on road

ISTANBUL 

The Dallas Mavericks racked up a 129-125 win over the Brooklyn Nets in overtime on Friday in the NBA regular season.

The first period ended with a 30-23 score in favor of the Mavericks but the Nets managed to outscore the Mavericks 36-31 in the second.

Dallas took a 90-84 lead at the end of the third period as they produced 29 points at Barclays Center.

With 8.8 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Nets star Kevin Durant went on to score a two-pointer to send the game into overtime 112-112.

The Mavericks scored 17 points while the Nets netted 13 points in the first overtime period.

Luka Doncic made a triple-double with 41 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 assists, while Tim Hardaway Jr. came off the bench to score 18 points.

Maxi Kleber added 15 points for the Dallas Mavericks.

“When we attack the paint, we’re a very dangerous team,” Doncic said after the game.

For the losing side, Kyrie Irving scored 39 points while Kevin Durant produced 37.

“I felt like we did some good things tonight but it just wasn’t good enough,” Irving said.
