The Sacramento Kings traded guard De’Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs in a three-team deal involving Zach LaVine, Kevin Huerter, and multiple draft picks, the NBA confirmed on Monday.
The NBA said in a statement that the Spurs acquired De’Aaron Fox and Jordan McLaughlin from the Sacramento Kings in a three-team trade. In the deal, LaVine is going to the Kings.
Fox was selected fifth overall in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Kings and has been one of the league’s top-scoring guards in recent seasons.
The 27-year-old guard averaged 21.5 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.9 rebounds in 514 games with the Kings.
Fox, an All-Star and an All-NBA player now in his eighth season, gets to start anew alongside Spurs forward Victor Wembanyama.
