Crystal Palace stun Liverpool on road to hurt Reds’ English title bid

Crystal Palace shocked 1-0 Liverpool on road on Sunday to hurt the Reds’ English Premier League title bid.

Visitors’ English midfielder Eberechi Eze scored the winning goal in the 14th minute at Liverpool’s Anfield.

As expected Liverpool piled on the pressure in the rest of the match, but the Reds wasted many chances, and Crystal Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson made important saves.

Well-disciplined in their half, Crystal Palace defended their goal until the final whistle to secure an away win.

Liverpool took 21 shots including six on target in the entire game.

Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool are in a relentless battle for the 2024 Premier League title.

Following the unexpected loss, Liverpool have 71 points in 32 matches to be third in the league table. Winners Crystal Palace have 33 points to be in lower ranks.

London’s Arsenal also have 71 points before their home game against Aston Villa later in the day.

Leaders Manchester City boosted their points to 73 after hammering Luton Town 5-1 on Saturday.
