China on Wednesday successfully launched four weather satellites into space.

The satellites for the Tianmu-1 meteorological constellation were launched into space by a Kuaizhou-1A carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the northwest of the country, People’s Daily reported.

It was the 24th mission of the Kuaizhou-1A rockets, it added.

On Monday, Beijing also launched into space a constellation of four weather satellites.

The satellites, which have already entered their planned orbit, will be used to provide commercial meteorological data services.

Earlier on Tuesday, China sent five satellites into space, including three Shiyan-24C satellites.

Shiyan-24C satellites will be used for space science and technology experiments.
