Chelsea upset Newcastle United in 5-goal thriller

Chelsea defeated Newcastle United 3-2 in week 28 of the English Premier League on Monday.

Chelsea broke the deadlock when Nicolas Jackson made a close-range finish in the sixth minute, but Newcastle United leveled the match with Alexander Isak in the 43rd minute.

The Blues took the lead again when Cole Palmer made a close-long range finish in the 57th minute at Stamford Bridge.

Mykhailo Mudryk dribbled past a defender and the goalkeeper to score against Newcastle to make it 3-1 in the 76th minute.

In stoppage time, Jacob Murphy netted a classy goal, but the game ended in favor of the London club.

Eleventh place Chelsea, who have a game in hand, are one point behind Newcastle United with 39 points.
