Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka advanced Saturday to the fourth round of Wimbledon.
The top-ranked men’s singles tennis player, Alcaraz, for Spain, defeated Nicolas Jarry from Chile in four sets — 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, and 7-5 in three hours and 56 minutes on Center Court.
Russia’s Daniil Medvedev, Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas and Denmark’s Holger Rune also secured a ticket to the men’s next stage.
In women’s singles, Belarussian world no. 2, Sabalenka, claimed a straight-set victory against Anna Blinkova from Russia. The match went one hour and 21 minutes.
Tunusia’s Ons Jabeur and Czech Republic’s Petra Kvitova moved to the fourth round after beating their opponents.
