Canada won the bronze medal in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup by beating the US 127-118 in the third-place game on Sunday.
Although the regular time ended with a 111-111 draw, Canada came out on top with 127-118 in overtime and won the bronze medal for the first time in their history.
Dillon Brooks led Canada with 39 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists, while his teammate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander contributed with a double-double of 31 points and 12 assists.
Anthony Edwards was the US’ top scorer with 24 points.
The US failed to secure the top-three positions in the competition for the second time in a row.
